Why me? Why us? A compelling story helps a donor see how her history, values and aspirations all align with the work of your organization. Why now? The story also conveys the urgency of your need. If you can’t tell that story well, you’re just asking for money. In this session, you’ll be introduced to the “Eight ATEs” technique and have an opportunity to apply this innovative approach to fundraising to your own organization’s story. You’ll even get a chance to participate in a peer review to see how stories work on real people. A storyteller’s work is never finished, so this session is for gift planners at every career level.
